Forum on Access and Inclusion First meet-up
Over 5 years ago, the team at the Tower of David took the strategic decision to make our museum accessible and inclusive as possible for children and adults with disabilities – within the confines of a thousand-year-old fortress!
Our success led to the establishment of a Jerusalem area forum for museums and heritage sites in order to share our experiences and help open up the world of culture to all.
Now, we are so excited that our regional forum is going national with the help of the Israel Council of Museums! ICOM Israel We invite everyone who is interested in making culture in Israel truly inclusive to tune in to the upcoming online forum.
Our keynote speakers include Beth Ziebarth, Director of Access at the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC and Caroline Smith of the National Gallery in London who will give us their insights into making museums inclusive during the pandemic.
We are especially grateful to the US Embassy American Center in Jerusalem for providing captioned translations in English and Hebrew.
