Tower of David Jerusalem Museum guides
Exciting tour examining Jerusalem’s holiness for the Jewish people and the special link between the city and the people from Biblical times until today. How and why was the city designated as holy? Why was Jerusalem specifically designated as the holy city? When did the exile actually begin? What is the significance of the coins that we have in our pockets?
The answers to these questions and others will be revealed through models, displays, archaeological remains, and written sources.
The tour takes place in the Tower of David Citadel, home of the renewed Tower of David Jerusalem Museum. Visit the museum galleries featuring innovative interactive displays and original archaeological objects. Stroll through the courtyard of the ancient Citadel, and finish at a panoramic observation point at the highest elevation in the Old City at the top of the Phasael Tower.
