The exhibit Jerusalem School: Spirit of Stone presented in the new gallery in the Museum, presents Hebrew art in Jerusalem until the 1950’s, and is a tribute to the “Tower of David Exhibits”, the first Hebrew art exhibits in Israel that were presented exactly at this same spot – the Tower of David Citadel, about 100 years ago.
We invite you to a gala event on occasion of the closing of the exhibit.
At the event we will screen the documentary “Angelica”, about the extraordinary life of the daughter of Boris Schatz, founder of Bezalel.
After the screening, we will discuss with the director of the movie and the great-grandson of Angelica, Dan Pe’er, and with Doron Lurie, curator, restorer, and art historian.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 8, at 5:00pm
