Tower of David Jerusalem Museum guides
Why is Jerusalem at the heart of Christian holiday narratives? Who built the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and when did the holy cross disappear? Who saw themself as a 20th century Crusader?
Jerusalem is the cradle of Christianity, the place where the central events in Jesus’ life happened 2,000 years ago. The tour returns to examine these events and their significance on the geographic development of the city from ancient times until today.
The tour takes place in the Tower of David Citadel, home of the renewed Tower of David Jerusalem Museum. Visit the museum galleries featuring innovative interactive displays and original archaeological objects. Stroll through the courtyard of the ancient Citadel, and finish at a panoramic observation point at the highest elevation in the Old City at the top of the Phasael Tower.
