Right before the 9th of Av, we will show the movie “Legend of Destruction” in the Citadel courtyard, and have a discussion with the movie’s director.‌

“Legend of Destruction” is a unique cinematic epic that describes the story of the Great Revolt and the destruction of the Second Temple, through a technique of animating 1500 still drawings. Since its release in 2022, the movie has been awarded many prizes, including 4 Ophir Awards, and it was called a “must-view for every Israeli”.

We invite you to a public screening of the movie on the backdrop of the walls of the ancient Citadel, in the very place where the historical story took place.

Immediately after the screening, there will be a discussion with the artists that participated in the creative production of the movie, and a panel examining the connection between the movie and our own times.
