Guide
In the heart of Jerusalem, sit small neighborhoods known collectively for many years as “Nachlaot” featuring courtyard neighborhoods, picturesque alleyways, cisterns, many synagogues, history, and folklore attracting many visitors who enjoy the stories and the intrigues of the area. The Nachlaot neighborhoods began to be established in the 1870’s, and different communities settled in distinct residential areas, each imprinted with its own unique character. We walk these neighborhoods, exploring the personalities, and the stories of the magical neighborhoods.
We stroll in these different neighborhoods and see the following sites: Mishkenot Yisrael neighborhood, the house of Rabbi Aryeh Levin, the Sephardic synagogue, Habustan Hasefaradi, the Zikhron Tuvya neighborhood, the Ohavei Zion Synagogue, Nahalat Zion neighborhood, Ades synagogue (entry to synagogues not included in tour).
The tour includes rugelach from Marzipan Bakery. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
