Tower of David Jerusalem Museum guides
Come join a tour of the exciting and surprising story of Jerusalem’s most beautiful site.
The Tower of David Citadel is a unique historical site and includes archaeological remains telling the story of Jerusalem from Biblical times until today. Which of the towers of the Tower of David Citadel is original? Which weapons did the Hasmoneans use when they fought here? Why did Herod build his personal palace on this particular location? Who was the Crusader queen who was holed up in the Citadel? Answers to these questions and others will be discovered on the tour, where we reveal in depth the story of the Citadel that became a symbol of the city.
The tour includes visiting the archaeological courtyard of the Citadel, walking along its walls, peeking into hidden passageways and uncovering the secrets of this site. We will also visit the new galleries of the museum and ascend to the panoramic observation point at the highest elevation in the Old City.
