Adults and families with children with special needs are invited to participate in special programs that will be held in the quiet hours at the Museum.
The programs include story theater performance, creativity stations, and an accessible lantern tour in the Citadel, with a group candle lighting ceremony and doughnuts.
☆“Journey for Self-Discovery” – story theater at the exhibit “On the Other Side”: an original, site-specific production in the exhibit space. The play follows the magical world of the butterfly. Dive into the inner world of children and discover the similarities between our journeys and those of the butterflies on the path of self-discovery. Actor: Noam Amit. Written and edited by: Noam Amit and Shay Friedman.
Performance times: 4:15pm, 5:00pm
☆Creating with Butterflies: Creativity station based on the exhibit “On the Other Side”. You are invited to create a tapestry of magical butterflies, to craft delicate wire butterfly sculptures, or make a butterfly window art project to take home and put in your bedroom window.
☆ Accessible Lantern Tour: Pick up a lantern and go out to discover the secret of the ancient Citadel and the story of Hanukkah. Includes riddles and games, candle lighting ceremony and doughnuts.
