The Mughrabis

Many Faces –  Tours about communities and families in Jerusalem (Heb.)

Thursday, 18.1.2018 I at 17:00

A tour of the alleys of the Old City and outside its walls following the Mughrabis, the Jews of North Africa, one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. We will hear the personal stories of members of the Mughrabi community, familiarize ourselves with the ways in which the community is organized, and see the actual evidence of the seal that it had imprinted on Jerusalem.

We will see the location of the Mughrabi synagogues, and we will visit the Mahane Israel neighborhood, which was the second neighborhood outside the walls of the Old City.
