Doors open at 6:00 pm

The “Musica VeSheket” music school and the Tower of David Museum present a Lag B’Omer Festival.

This once in a lifetime festival brings together, for the first time, the explosive energy of “Musica VeSheket” and the ancient walls of the Tower of David.  Seven musical ensembles will ascend to the stage, one after another presenting seven musical worlds, from Andalusia, Ethiopia and Persia, through Jazz, Afro-Cuban beat, Flamenco, and Global Groove.  Seven masters of the music industry in Israel come together with their students, to show us their year’s work and to demonstrate just how their music has brought about a revolution in the music scene in the city.  And all this against the dramatic backdrop of the Tower of David.

Ensembles under the direction of:

Piris Eliyahu

Abatte Barihun

Eyal Talmudi

Elad Levi

Omri Mor

Rony Iwryn

Shuky Shveiky

These seven maestros will take you on a musical, folklore journey to trace the roots of Groove around the world.

Closing act:  Atar Mayner

Tickets:  50 NIS with advance registration, 60 NIS at the door
