Tour Series Focusing on the People Who Made History in Jerusalemקו מקווקוThe tour will follow in the footsteps of Queen Melisende, the queen of the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 12th century CE. The first Crusader queen to be born in Jerusalem, Melisende built many churches and monasteries in Jerusalem and was an important patron for Crusader art and literature.

After her death, Queen Melisende was laid to rest next to her mother in the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, where the tour begins.  From there it will continues to the Church of St. Anne, which was built under Melisende’s reign, and to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, from there we will walk to the Crusader market linked to Melisende’s fate and conclude at the Tower of David.
