Via Dolorosa - Tour In Hebrew
This walking tour follows the path which, according to Christian tradition, Jesus walked on the last Friday of his life on the way to his crucifixion. Along the way, we will learn about one of the most famous events in history - the crucifixion and burial of Jesus.
The theological significance of the crucifixion will be examined and the degree of historical authenticity of these events and their influence on Jerusalem geography will be discussed. Franciscan monks identified and created the path known today as the Via Dolorosa. The tour tells of the traditions which stood behind the designation of this particular route as the one taken by Jesus. The tour concludes at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which memorializes the most dramatic events in the chronicles of Jesus. .
