Franciscan monks identified and created the path known today as the Via Dolorosa.  The tour tells of the traditions which stood behind the designation of this particular route as the one taken by Jesus.  The tour concludes at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which memorializes the most dramatic events in the chronicles of Jesus. .
