    On Sunday, April 20, join us at the Citadel for the traditional Mimouna celebration with Tahrir. <\/strong><\/p>

    Mimouna, celebrated for hundreds of years by Jewish communities in North Africa, is a symbol of mutual affection, community and faith. As the Passover holiday ends, our doors open and all are invited to enter to celebrate our unity, even though our ideas and traditions are different. During these difficult times, it seems that there is no more important message than connection and unity. The event, \u201cTogether in Hope and Faith\u201d, strives to find inspiration in music, and places comfort and joy at the center of the encounter. We will enter in a communal prayer for the quick return of all the hostages, the speedy healing for all the injured, and the army\u2019s success in their missions.<\/p>

    On the program: Andalusian orchestra composed of noted musicians and soloists on the central stage; festive song circle of the bakashot group, \u201cShahar Avakesha,\u201d in honor of the end of the season of requests; and in the best tradition – mufletta with mint tea.

    Tahrir is a mobile cultural institution and a platform for artistic and entertainment events, founded more than 10 years ago in Jerusalem\u2019s Machane Yehuda market. Since then, it has been a magnet for the broad expression of a wide range of Sephardic culture, from the tradition of ancient Sephardic piyyut poetry to the creation of modern, multi-disciplinary Sephardic works. Tahrir is a platform for creative development and production, connecting activities for social change with music and art. The event is offered in conjunction with the Jerusalem Municipality and the Jerusalem Foundation.<\/p>
