    On the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, we will gather at the Tower of David to commemorate the memory of the six million murdered.<\/p>

    7:30pm \u2013 Gathering and musical selections
    8:00pm –
    8:15pm\u2013 Testimony of Holocaust survivor Ms. Yona Amit<\/p>

    Yona Amit, born in Italy, will share the story of her survival together with her family. She will recount their movement between villages and hiding places, their stay in a monastery, and a perilous escape through the snow-covered Alps. Their arduous journey was made possible thanks to acts of courage and compassion by the Righteous Among the Nations.<\/p>

    Amit and her family fled Nazi-occupied Italy and eventually reached Switzerland. Later, they immigrated to Israel. She went on to raise a family in Jerusalem and became an educator. She is also a bereaved sister, and will share a deeply moving story of survival, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the Jewish people.<\/p>

    The lecture will take place in Ronny Hall.<\/p>

    The museum entrance is across from the Mamilla pedestrian mall, a five-minute walk from the Safra light rail station.<\/p>
