{"id":58496,"date":"2025-10-21T12:39:52","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T09:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tod.org.il\/?post_type=events&#038;p=58496"},"modified":"2026-06-07T13:20:04","modified_gmt":"2026-06-07T10:20:04","slug":"general-accessibility-at-the-museum","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.tod.org.il\/en\/event\/general-accessibility-at-the-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"General Accessibility at the Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The Tower of David Jerusalem Museum warmly welcomes visitors with disabilities and special needs, as well as their families and companions.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">We regard accessibility as a core value and believe that, despite the museum being housed within a complex historic and archaeological site, all visitors should enjoy an equal and meaningful visitor experience.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">The museum\u2019s exhibition galleries are accessible, and a variety of accessibility aids are available throughout the exhibitions.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">We will do everything possible to ensure that your visit to the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum is enjoyable, engaging, and accessible.<\/p><div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><p class=\"has-large-font-size\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong>General Accessibility at the Museum<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Museum does not have reserved parking spots, parking is available in the adjacent Karta and Mamilla lots<\/li>\n\n<li>With prior arrangement \u2013 you can arrive by car directly to the museum entrance and drop people off, and afterwards park in one of the adjacent parking lots<\/li>\n\n<li>All museum exhibit halls are accessible<\/li>\n\n<li>The Museum has 2 new elevators to bring you to the middle and upper floor of the Citadel \u2013 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tod.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/map-1.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Link to the Museum Map<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n<li>The Museum has wheelchair lifts in 5 spots: Bathrooms in the Citadel Courtyard, bathrooms next to the museum exit, the moat (2 lifts), and Gallery 9 \u2013 Modern Times<\/li>\n\n<li>Throughout the Museum there are ramps and wide terraces<\/li>\n\n<li>The use of a wheelchair, at no extra charge, is available at the main entrance<\/li>\n\n<li>Discount on tickets available for those with a certificate of disability<\/li>\n\n<li>At the Museum Entrance you can receive a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tod.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/MAP-HEB.pdf\"><strong>tactile map of the Museum<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n<li>Express no-waiting entry upon presentation of certificate of disability (applies to entry both to the Museum and to the Night Experiences)<\/li><\/ul><div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><p dir=\"ltr\">To return to the Tower of David Accessibility main page, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tod.org.il\/en\/accessibility-at-the-museum\/\">click here &gt;<\/a><\/strong><br><br><\/p><p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3becef983cc8647f1e003528881a6b09\" dir=\"ltr\"><\/p><div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>","protected":false},"template":"","events-categories":[154],"class_list":["post-58496","events","type-events","status-publish","hentry","events-categories-accessibility"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.6 -
