    The poet and writer Yitzhak Shalev lived most of his life in Jerusalem\u2014teaching, writing, and describing it with deep love and feeling, to the extent that he asked for the words \u201cServant of this city\u201d to be inscribed on his grave. He vividly captured the city\u2019s character and, during the years of a divided Jerusalem, wrote more than any other about longing, yearning, and the dream of reunification.<\/p>

    On this tour, we move between the biographical and the literary of this important figure\u2014through the stations of his life, events, and places in the city about which he wrote. We will visit his home, his school, and encounter both the divided and reunited Jerusalem through its sites and stories.<\/p>
