Explore the magnificent views of the magnificently restored citadel, the Tower of David, together with the spectacular views of the Old City from the top of the citadel’s towers and turrets!
The Tower of David Museum is located in the magnificently restored ancient citadel that guards the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. It stands at the point where east meets west and old meets new with spectacular 360 degree views of Jerusalem from the top of its towers and turrets.

Cross the drawbridge and enter the cavernous halls, turreted fortifications and picturesque courtyard, climb the stairs – and enjoy the vista of Jerusalem, its skyline of towers, minarets, spires and domes that has captivated the hearts of millions of people for thousands of years.

The Citadel complex spreads over 2.5 acres and contains a medieval citadel with panoramic views of Jerusalem from the towers and parapets, galleries, exhibition rooms, an outdoor amphitheater and stage, an archaeological courtyard, coffee shop, and a dry moat complete with archaeological remains from over 2700 years ago.

The Museum offers a fascinating tour of the rich history of the city that tells the dramatic events that give Jerusalem its unique place in world civilization.  Jerusalem is rediscovered through the Museum’s fascinating and panoramic exhibit; through exciting and groundbreaking special exhibitions and events; through an array of unique educational programs for children and adults; and through specifically designed innovative learning experiences for diverse populations.

The Kishle excavations, including the foundations to King Herod’s Palace are now open to the general public on guided tours and can be seen here in a 360 3D movie.
