Friends Association

The Association of Friends of the Tower of David promotes the connection between the Museum and all those who love Jerusalem– its history, archeology, art, culture and society. The Association supports the development of the museum and gives its members an opportunity to be part of unique and special projects.

The Tower of David Museum is open and in the midst of renewal and conservation. This is an exciting time as a new entrance building on the western side of the museum is now under construction and a new permanent exhibition is being curated and installed.  Newly designed exhibition spaces, accessible infrastructure, archaeological sites that have yet to be opened to the public and advanced technologies will combine to tell the story of the city of Jerusalem.

At the same time, the museum staff continues to develop tours and educational activities; to host diverse populations including IDF soldiers and people with disabilities and special needs; to develop advanced technologies in the service of cultural institutions, and to improve the visitor experience through the TOD Innovation Lab.  All this is in addition to the cultural events, festivities and festivals that attract a young and exuberant audience that celebrates the city’s riches.
