On this special tour, wander through the alleys of the Christian Quarter, hear about Christmas and its origins, and understand its connection to festivals of light in other cultures. Trace the holiday’s various customs, Christmas trees, foods, and lights. Pass by the unique home of Jerusalem’s Santa Claus, stroll through the Christmas market near the New Gate, and finish with a wonderful panoramic view from the rooftop of the Notre Dame Guesthouse.

The tour includes tastings: a shot of arak, traditional Christmas cake (Stollen), hot wine / sachlav | Tastings take place at eateries without a kosher certificate | The tour includes the cost of the Notre Dame viewpoint | The tour does not include entrance to churches.

Meeting point: Jaffa Gate
Ending point: Tzahal Square

Warm clothing and comfortable shoes recommended; the tour takes place outdoors | Please arrive at the meeting point about 10 minutes before the start of the tour | In case of stormy weather, the tour will be canceled and a notification will be sent to registered participants.
