Colors of Summer

Do you love art? Join us for an inspiring creative experience in one of Jerusalem’s most beautiful settings: a unique painting and drawing course in the magical spaces of the Tower of David Citadel!

Presented in partnership with JLM ART – Youth Culture and Arts Center, the course combines guided visits through the museum galleries, exploration of Jerusalem’s fascinating history, and hands-on workshops led by experienced Jerusalem-based artists.

Throughout the course, participants will experiment with a variety of artistic techniques, including painting, drawing, and printmaking, while developing their own creative voice and artistic style. Inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the Old City, students will create works both indoors and outdoors in shaded areas throughout the Citadel. The program also includes visits to special galleries and contemporary art projects around Jerusalem.

On the final day, family members will be invited to a special family tour of the museum, followed by a festive exhibition showcasing participants’ artwork – an opportunity to share their creativity with family, friends, and museum visitors.

Instructor: Marina Siper – Jerusalem-based artist, Bezalel Academy graduate, art teacher, and graphic designer.

Important Information

★ The course takes place Sunday–Thursday, July 12–16, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum.
★ A festive closing event will take place on Friday, July 17, including a family tour and exhibition of participants’ artwork.
★ The course is intended for students completing Grades 6, 7, and 8.
★ Open to teens with an interest in art; no prior experience is required.
★ Course fee: NIS 800, including all materials and admission to the family museum tour on the final day.
★ Registration is for the full course only; partial registration is not available.
★ Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Sessions will be held at the Tower of David, except for one session at the JLM ART Center.
★ Space is limited.
