Gallery Talk at “Yehoram Gaon: The Exhibition” at the Tower of David Museum Jerusalem celebrating 70 years of Yehoram Gaon’s artistic journey.
We will speak with Tal Kobo, the exhibition curator, about the process of creating the exhibition, the unique items collected, and the fascinating facts uncovered during the research—some of which even surprised Yehoram Gaon himself.
Before the talk, you’re invited to tour the exhibition independently. It spans three locations within the museum. Please note: one of the locations—the Citadel Lookout—is not accessible, but the exhibition can still be fully enjoyed without it.
Includes coffee and light refreshments.
The exhibition traces the key milestones in Gaon’s life: Jerusalem neighborhoods, military troupes, theatrical performances, films, songs, and recordings — to his current creative work.
Among the displays: iconic hats, original manuscripts, rare items never before shown, and more.
Through interactive displays, videos, unique clips, and rare pieces from his personal collection, we follow the journey of a boy, born in Jerusalem, who became a national icon and the soundtrack of an entire country.
