Guide
Eyal Weintshtein, Mati Bernstein
For thousands of years, people have gazed at the lights of the night sky. Beliefs, stories, and myths have grown around the phases of the moon, and countless songs have been written in its honor.
On nights of the full moon, we’ll set out on an evening tour exploring ancient traditions connected to the moon, its central role in the calendar, and some of the most beautiful songs inspired by it. We’ll discover how these traditions continue to resonate today—in our language and our imagination. Along the way, we’ll climb to scenic viewpoints and walk along the city walls to watch the full moon shining above the rooftops of Jerusalem, letting it transport us to another time.
We’ll conclude the evening around a campfire in the Citadel’s moat, enjoying hot drinks, cookies, and songs accompanied by guitar under the open sky and the light of the full moon.
Meeting and ending point: Tower of David
