Hanukkah of Heroes at the Tower of David
Join us for a wonderful Hanukkah family event, including a treasure hunt, a play about overcoming fears, a pottery-repair craft workshop, tours in the footsteps of the Hasmoneans, and more surprises!
Activity Details:
☆ Museum Treasure Hunt
A family navigation and challenge game throughout the citadel. Each family receives a kit with tasks and riddles and navigates through the citadel and galleries until reaching the treasure: the Hanukkah treasure.

A new game launches every 30 minutes starting at 10:00. Last game at 15:00.
Activity duration: approx. 1 hour
Launch point: The Olive Tree in the courtyard
☆ “Dani’s Shadow” – Play & Activity
Dani’s shadow is behaving strangely. It no longer follows her obediently and even starts interfering. The more she tries to ignore it and continue as usual, the bigger it grows – until she has no choice but to meet it, go on a journey with it, and for a change – follow it.
A musical performance by two actors, with puppets and masks, about facing fear and overcoming it.
For children ages 4–7.
Performance duration: approx. 40 minutes.
Performers & creators: Argaman Kadosh, Matan Salem
Entry based on available seating (stickers handed out at the entrance desk).
Showtimes: 10:30, 12:30, 14:30

☆ Tour of the Citadel in the Footsteps of the Hasmoneans
The main surviving Hasmonean fortifications in Jerusalem are located here at the Tower of David.
