“Jewish autumn in the land of my fathers
sends me
hints of Elul”
So wrote Avraham Halfi. And Halfi is not alone in being moved by autumn, by Elul, and by its hints. The great voices of Hebrew poetry, from the Golden Age through Rabbi Judah Halevi and all the way to the band Eifo HaYeled, have expressed longing for and nostalgia toward this season-which is, in a sense, our return home.
You are invited to another performance in the “Singing Love for Jerusalem” series, in which we will find our way home through the beautiful songs we will sing together. Join the flight of migrating birds and the breeze that arrives at the end of the great heat, searching for that inner place of home, forgiveness, and a deep breath.
Hosted by Tal Ne’eh-musician, composer, singer and songwriter, music lecturer, and host of experiential singing evenings.
Warm clothing is recommended; the performance takes place outdoors.
