On February 29 – a date that happens only once every 4 years – we take a moment to examine the past year, and what is happening with us right now. Take a fresh look at Jerusalem and the light that spreads from it, even during these times. Try to understand how it is possible, specifically during war, to call for healing, motivate restorative processes and growth, and see realities outside of the confines of time.
The Moment in Time comes during the year of the reopening of the Museum after a process of preservation and wide-ranging improvements including the establishment of 10 new, elaborate galleries, combining the old and the new.
First, dive behind the scenes of the renewal process at the Museum, and meet the people who helped along the way. They will tell us their perspectives from fields such as preservation, archaeology, architecture, design, curatorship, productions, art, media and technology, and more. Meetings will move between 2 locations in the Museum.
In the second part, there will be small performances, workshops, and wandering between the artistic works in the Citadel courtyards and the galleries. Researchers, healing personnel and artists, musicians, writers and creators from a variety of backgrounds, invite you to experience and give yourselves a gift of inspiration, comfort, freedom, and renewed understanding of what is already known and possible.
We invite you to come and wander, develop, move, hear and feel.
It may be cold outside, we will try to make it warmer inside. In any case, bring something warm to wear.
