Modern Jerusalem was born in the 19th century in the Emmanuel Compound, where the city’s first government and educational institutions were established – including a groundbreaking girls’ school and a modern hospital.
In time, as the Old City became increasingly crowded, these activities moved to the Anglican Compound at 82 HaNevi’im Street. Today, the site houses the Anglican International School, serving about 350 students from nearly 50 different countries. Our tour will explore the grounds where the Anglican Hospital once stood.
This is a rare opportunity to step inside parts of the compound that are usually closed to the public.
