10:00–17:00 — Stations and activities throughout the Citadel:

☆ Guided tours of the museum every 15 minutes.
Tours on Independence Day:
“Symbol of the State” – tour in the Museum galleries about the transformation of Israel’s national symbol, from the Temple menorah until modern times

☆ Independence Challenge – Bingo and quiz of places in Israel
☆ “Israeli Childhood” station: nostalgic childhood games. Come teach your kids the games we all grew up on — candle in a bottle, sack race, leading a ping pong ball with a spoon, and more.
☆ Station for recreating iconic Israeli photos, including a special souvenir magnet.
☆ Costume station: knights and ladies, princes and princesses, and other historical costumes.
☆ Climb to the Minaret, for an additional 15 NIS

Israeli folk dancing
Instructor Shlomit Nagar (“The Joy of Dance”) will lead lively and energetic Israeli dance sessions with the most beloved Israeli songs.
Suitable for professional dancers and complete beginners alike.

17:00 – Main Show: “Be a Kid”
A musical-theatrical performance accompanied by six musicians:
Songs written by Alon Olearchik and Kaveret, for kids and the whole family.

Songs for the young (and the young at heart) written by one of Israel’s most beloved artists and creators — Alon Olearchik, a member of the iconic band Kaveret.
Olearchik wrote, composed, and sang many children’s songs for the legendary Children’s Festivals.
In this new show, his beloved songs will be performed, along with the stories behind them:
“She Walks Along the Roads,” “A New Guy Came to the Neighborhood,” “Yo Ya,” “Girl with Glasses,” “I Gave Her My Life,” “Be a Kid,” and more.
Show duration: about 50 minutes.

The new entrance to the museum is adjacent to Mamilla Boulevard, a 5-minute walk from the Safra Light Rail Station.
