Tour on Mamilla Rd telling the story of the neighborhood that existed and was lost, about the buildings that were copied from one place to another, buildings that were dismantled and rebuilt, houses with numbers on the stones, old buildings next to new buildings.
On the tour, we will ascend to an expansive observation point on Phasael Tower at the Tower of David, and from there walk along Mamilla Rd. Hear about the establishment of the Mamilla neighborhood, its residents, and its fate after November 29, 1947. See Stern House and learn about the historic visit of Herzl to Jerusalem in 1898. Discover houses that were dismantled and rebuilt, the St. Vincent de Paul Chapel and other sites, and finish in the Mamilla Cemetery, next to an ancient pool.
