The Syriac Community stands out due to its presence in Jerusalem since the days of Jesus. The Monastery of St. Mark in the Old City serves as a community center for Aramaic speakers, and it houses a small, impressive church, harboring a long-standing tradition that Jesus’ Last Supper was held in its basement. Tour focuses on the small, ancient community and allows a closer look at its values, customs, and traditions, including meeting a monk from the community.
Tour includes entrance to a church, please dress modestly (no sleeveless shirts or shorts)
