During the tour, we will open a door to a place that generations of Jerusalemites once feared – once called the “Leper House,” and now Hansen House, a center for culture and art. We will walk beneath the stone vaults of this impressive building and move through its rooms, where original belongings of patients and the medical equipment used by nurses and doctors can still be seen. Along the way, we will tell the story of one of the most mysterious and fascinating communities Jerusalem has ever known.
Before that, we will tour the Talbiya neighborhood, recalling the people whose stories are hidden among its stone houses and greenery, interwoven with excerpts from literature inspired by the neighborhood and the creators who lived there.
