Guide
Yiska Eshet
During the Days of Awe and Selichot, we will set out on a tour of the Jewish Quarter in the unique atmosphere of this season. Moving through different sites along the timeline, we will hear about figures who left their mark on the city and whose lives were shaped by renewal, forgiveness, and a profound sense of meaning.
We will tell the story of a synagogue that rose from the ashes again and again; of the light of the menorah; of the poetry of Selichot; and of children playing in the streets of the city.
Route: Zion Gate, Broad Wall, Hurva Synagogue (exterior), Menorah, Four Sephardic Synagogues (exterior), Batei Mahase Square
Meeting point: Zion Gate
End point: Tower of David
The ticket includes admission to the “Singing Love for Jerusalem” performance, which will take place after the tour in the Citadel Courtyard, hosted by Tal Ne’eh.
